What is the WRC Rally Portugal?
Vodafone Rally de Portugal or WRC Rally Portugal is a one of the biggest motorsports events in Portugal. Since 1967, drivers have competed against the clock on challenging road stages.
The 2026 Edition features a revamped format, with 23 special stages. All the trails combined result in a total length of 1862 km (1157 miles) and cover different regions of Portugal.

Where to watch the WRC Rally Portugal
There’s three options:
- You can buy the tickets. There are individual tickets, 1-day passes, 2-day passes, and 3-day passes.
- Watch in the Spectator Zones (Zonas Espetáculo) for free.
- Another option is to watch them online, on platforms like Rally Tv.
About Spectator Zones
The organization has set up several Spectator Zones, so you can experience the excitement of this rally in various areas.
Access to these zones will only be permitted starting at a specific time determined for each location/case, usually a couple of hours before the first competitor passes through. This way the public travels to the venue without any rush.

From May 6th (shakedown), although official start is on the 7th, to the 10th of May.

General Tips before watching a rally

- Keep a safe distance from the track/path. Rally cars can loose control in seconds (especially if its raining). Therefore, don’t sit close to the edge of the track.
- Also, don’t stand or walk on the track
- Watch only on official spectator zones and never jump a safety tape
- Listen for approaching cars and stay alert
- Never stand at the outside of a corner, on the exit of a blind crest, or at the end of a long straight.
- Don’t stand below the level of the track.
- Don’t Access the No-Go Areas
- Don’t stand or sit on log piles, walls or fences
- Don’t block escape routes or put yourself or drivers at risk
- Don’t be distracted and expect the unexpected
- Leave yourself room to move quickly
- Never walk on the stage/track during the 30 minutes leading up to the first car
- Keep children under supervision and dogs on a leash
- Rain is expected this weekend, get comfortable, non-slippery footwear
