Performance by the Pauliteiras da Scuola Mirandesa do Porto 💃🏻

Date: 9th of January

Casa da Música in Porto opens its doors to the folklore group: Pauliteiras of the Scuola Mirandesa do Porto. They bring to life one of the most vibrant expressions of Portuguese culture: the dance of the sticks. It originates from Miranda do Douro, a city in northern Portugal. 

Inspired by the famous pauliteiros, the dancers from the group transform their steps into stories that span centuries. There are many themes you can spot, from romance, religion, agriculture, to medieval themes and satire. The performance wouldn’t be the same, without the sound of bagpipes, bass drums, and snare drums, which echo the Mirandese spirit in the heart of Porto. By the way, all of this for free! The Nutcracker – Classic Stage (Lisbon)🌲

Date: 11th of January

The Nutcracker is a two-act classical ballet that brings the magic of Christmas to life through an enchanting tale of fantasy and wonder. The beloved story follows Clara on a dreamlike journey filled with animated toys, sinister creatures, and an unexpected hero — the Nutcracker Prince.

Cats – Let the memory live again (Porto) 🐱

Date: 14th of January

 Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical from London’s West End is coming to Porto this January. The famous musical is happening in the Super Bock Arena and promises to captivate the audience’s attention. 

The musical follows a group of cats as they share their loves, rivalries, and adventures, disrupted by the return of Grizabella — a cat who once left to explore the world and now seeks acceptance once more. Featuring spectacular sets, breathtaking choreography, and the unforgettable song “Memory”, CATS is a truly magical and unique theatrical experience.

Hollywood Symphony Orchestra (Lisbon) 🎶

Hammerfall (metal music) – Porto🤘🏻🎸

Fans of Metal music? This one’s for you! Swedish heavy metal legends HammerFall are finally returning to Portugal with two unmissable headline shows on their Freedom World Crusade 2026 European tour. After more than a decade away, the band will light up Lisbon on January 21 at República da Música and Porto on January 22 at Hard Club
